New Year, what an odd time.
Since having children, it's been kinda tricky knowing how to mark it. In fact I'd be lieing if I'd told you I'd actually seen the new year in at all over the last five years since my eldest was born. I think I've been awake at midnight some years, but either waking for a baby's feed or waking from my slumber to say; "will those bleeping fire works bleep off". There's certainly been no night clubs, no tuneless old lang syne-ing and most definitly no random snogging.
This year we decided on a family outing late afternoonish, and since our daughter had been pestering us to go bowling we gave that a go. Unfortunatly car-crazy Charles had other ideas and kept running off to play on the car style arcade games so whilst Clive and Rosie played away, my New Years Eve was spent amongst teenage boys playing pool and fruit machines. You live and learn.
