Rosie loves to draw and she's pretty good at it too, she's certainly not got it from me.
She adores this book as it explicitly tells her how to draw animals (notoriously tricky) step by step, and it's getting me off the hook, as normally it's "Mummy, how do you draw a...?" and I never ever know.
Whilst purists may argue it's not encouraging creativity I feel children often yearn to just know how to do something well. Just as I love reading Rosie's phonetically spelt stories, there are times when she wants to know exactly how to spell something right. I think it's called balance.
Anyway, this comes recommended from an artistic 5 year old and a pretty useless mother!
