Carluccio's

Carluccio's Nottingham

"Why haven't we been here before? It's bloody gorgeous," said I several times this evening as we ate in Carluccio's Nottingham.

The food was amazing: The kids had penne and a delicious tomato sauce, which is an all-time favourite. We had calamari for starters and beautiful pasta (seafood linguine) and pork with capers and spinach for mains. Who knew spinach could be that tasty!

Best of all was the service: Service that made us feel we were in some beautiful, independent Italian, rather than a fast-growing chain. Our waiter recommended a beautiful wine and was full of knowledge about both that and the food on offer. When Charles got in a mess with his chocolate ice-cream (usually my signal to make a swift exit) paper towels were offered with a smile!

Loved it and will definitely be back!
